About Raise a Reader:
Motivate your students to read by rewarding their reading milestones! The Raise a Reader program allows your students to log their reading minutes as they devour books throughout the spring. Parents.com will track which schools have the most logged minutes per student with one winning school to receive a $5,000 library grant!
The free program includes a personalized school page where teachers, students and parents can watch your school's progress. Online spelling games and worksheets keep it fun, and we've got recommended books for every age level. Plus, students who log at least 60 minutes of reading each week will be entered for individual prizes.
This initiative is another great way for parents to talk with their kids about books and publish their reading successes! Plus, Pyron students will be able to use computer lab time to log minutes.
